FAQs

Do I need electrolytes every day?

Not necessarily. If you aren’t sweating much and you’re eating and drinking normally, plain water may be all you need.

Some people enjoy Purelyte as part of their daily routine. Others keep it for hotter, more active or physically demanding days. For general hydration, we recommend up to two serves per day unless a healthcare professional advises otherwise.

How much water should I mix it with?

Mix one sachet with 600–1,200 ml of cold water.

Use closer to 600 ml for a stronger flavour or up to 1.2 litres for a lighter taste. If you’re new to Purelyte, around 800-1000 ml is an easy place to start.

Is Purelyte suitable for children?

Purelyte is classified as a Formulated Supplementary Sports Food and carries the advisory that it is not recommended for children under 15 or pregnant women unless under medical or dietetic supervision.

For children under 15, speak with a qualified healthcare professional or sports dietitian before use.

Why does Purelyte contain 800 mg of sodium?

Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost through sweat. Purelyte is formulated around the approximate 800 mg of sodium lost in an average litre of sweat, alongside potassium, magnesium and calcium.
